A description of the problem, whether it is a leak, storm damage, a leaning tree or a limb over the roofline, helps schedule the right visit, but nothing gets priced sight unseen. The first step is always getting eyes on the roof and, where relevant, the tree causing the concern.
Photos taken from the ground beforehand are useful context but do not replace an actual inspection, since the details that decide repair versus replacement, or prune versus removal, are usually only visible up close.
